We work out of our studio in Woodstock, Cape Town. There are always projects on the go and works moving in and out. As we would like to be able to give you proper attention when you come to look at works or discuss your collection, it is preferable that you let us know in advance that you are planning to visit us.

Julia Meintjes – Director and Curator

Julia followed her Fine Art and History of Art degree at the University of Pietermaritzburg with curatorial positions at Tatham Art Gallery and Johannesburg Art Gallery. She founded her own consultancy in 1995, combining her knowledge of making art with her interest in its history, social relevance and value.

Suzanne Duncan – Client Liaison

Suzanne obtained her BAFA (Hons) in 2006 from the Michaelis School of Fine Art, University of Cape Town. She returned several years later and completed an MFA with distinction. She worked as an art specialist in the auction industry, gaining valuable knowledge of the secondary market and managing collections. Suzanne is service-orientated and quietly tenacious, aware of the connecting role she plays between collectors and artists as she places private collection works in new homes, and helps individuals identify works for their collections by introducing them to exciting and relevant contemporary artists.

Rachel Hunter – Administration

Rachel is the organised nuts-and-bolts person who facilitates all manner of tasks for our team, using expertise gained from her teaching qualifications. She’s gathered experience multi-tasking and managing projects crucial to help us streamline our services to clients and artists, with a focus on our Threads of Africa project.

John Lategan – Database management and stock control

John is sharing his expertise with detail, and his valuable experience gained from working at Africa Nova. He manages records on our Contact and Art Collector’s Databases, as well as handling all aspects related to the movement of any works of art.

At the end of April we said ‘goodbye’ to Candice Cruse, who is starting a new chapter in her life. We wish her well for whatever this new chapter brings, and are very grateful for all she has contributed to our team and our business.
